What Is Speed Governor???
A speed governor,or speed limiter or controller,is a machine used to measure and adjust the speed of a machine, such as an engine. Speed Governor is an electromechanical device in the diesel engine. Its purpose is to manage & regulate the speed of the engine by controlling the quantity of fuel to the engine. The core concept in power production is that the speed of the engine or turbine must be constant or +-x of it. A variation in speed would cause variation in voltage and frequency.
